Farm Bureau® is a non-profit association whose primary goal is “to strengthen agriculture’s role and influence as a vital part of a strong and prosperous economy in a free America.” Commercial services provided for the benefit of members are secondary to Farm Bureau’s purpose and role in society.
The Country Insurance & Financial Services has been affiliated with the Farm Bureaus in Illinois since the 1920’s.
Country Mutual Insurance Company is one of the Country Insurance & Financial Services and provides casualty insurance for automobiles and homes to Illinois Farm Bureau Members only, at preferred rates.
You must be a member in good standing of the Illinois Farm Bureau and your County Farm Bureau to apply for and, if other underwriting criteria are met, continue coverage by the Country Mutual Insurance Company.
Upon applying for membership in your County Farm Bureau® and being approved for membership by the Board of Directors of your County Farm Bureau® for the initial membership period, you must renew your membership annually on or before the annual expiration date each year thereafter.
Once your membership dues have been paid and accepted for the initial membership period, or for any annual renewal thereafter, your membership in your County Farm Bureau® will be valid for that length of time only, and dues paid are not refundable.

You will note that, although Farm Bureau® offers a number of membership benefits, you are not guaranteed insurance coverage, loans, or VISA cards from our affiliated companies. Each service is offered to members, however, access is based upon the individual merits of the application processed for that service.
